Date:2025-05-28   Click:..
When using cross-border logistics to transport goods, it is essential to have two steps: export customs clearance in the country of origin and import customs clearance in the destination country. In order to prevent the goods from being seized or returned by customs and extend the transportation time, sellers must not forget to prepare in advance for the import and export customs matters that need to be paid attention to before shipment!

1、 Preparation for export customs declaration
Customs declaration is one of the necessary steps in fulfilling customs export procedures. As a seller, preparing before shipping can make the customs clearance process more efficient. When handling export customs clearance, if you need a customs clearance company to assist with related matters, please ensure that you entrust a professional and legitimate customs clearance company.

Tips

The required documents for customs clearance may vary due to differences in transportation methods, goods, customs clearance agents, etc. We suggest that you contact your customs clearance agent to confirm the details.

Special products involving FDA1, wooden products, and dangerous goods may require additional information, such as air freight guarantees, battery letters, KC FORM3, FDA REG # 5, device lists, etc. It is recommended to consult your customs broker for specific details.

2、 Preparation for Import Customs Clearance
Before importing goods into the destination country, you must first ensure that you have your own IOR in the destination country. IOR stands for Importer of Record, which is responsible for ensuring that your goods comply with local laws and regulations when imported, and paying import taxes and fees, so that the goods can be successfully imported to the destination country.

In addition to IOR, each country has different requirements for customs clearance based on corresponding customs regulations. Next, we will use the United States, Europe, and Japan as examples to introduce the import customs clearance process for reference.

Through the above process, you will find that when importing goods to the United States, it is necessary to purchase bonds in advance and complete POA in order to complete customs clearance. So, what do Bond and POA refer to respectively?
